Conservation

Conservation Is the Key

For Keystone Lake Striper trips, once the water temps are 78 degrees or higher, any Striper that are boated larger than four (4) lbs. will not be released, and once the daily limit has been reached we will target other species (Sand Bass, Catfish etc.) to finish out our day. This is a boat rule, not a state rule! Stripers, especially the larger ones, stress very easily and even though they might swim away when released, experience has proven that a larger percentage of the caught and released Stripers will be found floating dead the next day.

On all Catfish trips, all catfish over 30 inches will be CPR’d (caught, photographed and released). This is a boat rule, not a state rule, and I’ve put this rule in effect in an effort to help preserve our dwindling Trophy Catfish population! I will only allow an exception to this rule if the Catfish is a new lake or state record catch.

Thanks for your understanding and your help in preserving the wonderful fishing opportunities we enjoy in the great state of Oklahoma!!
Tight Lines!
