Ahhhh, what a way to begin the 2014 Weekend Frenzy’s! Four (4) great folks in the boat, a beautiful day, cooperating fish, bent rods and smiles galore!!
Aboard today we had Gary Adams, his son Robert, Robin Schewers and her good friend Mary!
First stop produced nothing after giving the fish in the area a chance to stop by for a visit so we moved only a short distance and found a group of hungry, feeding Hybrids! Mary was first to score a nice Hybrid, followed quickly by all aboard. While it wasn’t a fast and furious bite, it was steady enough and producing the quality of fish to keep everyone interested and fishing!
Got a couple of calls from folks downlake that said they were catching fast and furious, but after making the trip and giving it a go with no success, we made the move back to where we’d catching, and a good move it was! The vast majority of the fish we were catching after moving back were “overs” and had to be tossed back to swim and fight another day, but no one in the boat was complaining! All in all boated well over 50+ hard fighting Hybrids, a few (not many) Sand Bass and cleaned 3 (stuffed) one gallon zip lock bags of prime eating Hybrid fillets for Gary & Robert and let the rest go to fight another day!!
Great start to a season of FRENZY weekends with a group that was loads of fun! Thank’s Gary, Robert, Robin & Mary, I really enjoyed having y’all in the boat today!!
