Again, no photo ops, but had a ball once again with Jeremy & Jason fishing for Keystone Stripers and more hot evening topwater action for them “Stripes”!! Again, we started at 6:00 P.M. and fished until 9:00 P.M. and the action began with the first cast!! While we didn’t boat and land any big fish last night, Jason tied into what looked to be a fish (Striper) well into the double digits! He had the fish on for quite a while and it came to the surface close enough to the boat for us all to see, but alas it pulled free from the hooks before we could get it close enough to net it!!
Had many many doubles on last night, most fish in the 2-3 lb range, and we actually left them biting at 9:00 when we headed in. Cleaned a stuffed gallon bag of tasty fillets for them to take home, and all was good!!! We didn’t put any fish in the box until the last 1/2 hour, and put 10 in there about 2 lbs each.
Great way to spend an evening!!
On a side note in regards to photo opportunities on these evening trips. We are fishing “shallow” water!! Very shallow water and in low light and no light conditions. If we take photos, it would require the use of “flash” to get good pics, and a single flash of light in these conditions will spook the fish in the area back into deep water almost instantly!! I would love to take and have photos and pics to share, but I refrain from doing so on these trips so as not to spook the fish away and ruin the opportunity of my anglers to catch lots of fish!!
Tight Lines,
Steve
