OUCH!! Yes, a second “not so great” fishing report in the same week!! I “HATE” to post fishing reports that are less than great, but true to who I am, I will always post up the bad with the good because it’s the right thing to do!!!
Hosted Jason Farmer and his boys Trase & Dillion on Sooner Lake Friday for what should have been a fish catching fun day on Sooner Lake only to be denied the fun of catching lots of fish!
While weather wise and little to no wind for much of the day it was a beautiful and perfect day, the fish were simply just not cooperating and accepting our offerings of fresh lively shad, nor cut shad!!
We marked loads of fish on the Lowrance, but simply put they (the fish) were just NOT feeding, making for an extremely frustrating day for both me and the boys! It was Trase’s birthday and as hard as I tried to make it an exciting enjoyable memorable day for him, just couldn’t make it happen!
We boated only 1, , , , , , yes, just “ONE” Hybrid Striper for all our efforts and one small Blue Cat, and only had one or two other timid and teasing pull downs all day as we searched the whole lake attempting to find just one feeding school of fish! Didn’t happen!!!
Thank You Jason and boys for your patience and understanding on our quest for rod bending, fish catching fun that didn’t happen! I look forward to another attempt in the future to turn things around!
