Can we say “WINDY”?? WOW, winds howling out of the West today as we ventured out in search of some hungry Hybrid Stripers! Had the extreme pleasure of hosting Ed Richter, Phil Hart, Bob Reed and Tom Corbitt of Broken Arrow on a fishing adventure. They all had the opportunity to play golf today OR, go fishing and I think they made the right choice haha!! Great group of guys and a pure pleasure to have them in my boat.
We started at 7:00 this morning and after checking out a spot or two, settled in on a spot where I’d marked a group of fish on the HDS, and once the anchor got set, we dropped some frisky shad down to tempt the Hybrids into eating, and eat they did! ![20140428_081557[1]](../wp-content/themes/grey-opaque/plugins/lazy-load/images/1x1.trans.gif)
Today was much better than this past Saturday although I was somewhat apprehensive at first. We’d had such a strong weather front move through yesterday (Sunday) and post frontal conditions can be pretty tough. Guess the Hybrids hunger overcame everything else and they put the feed bag on!
Cleaned a limit of quality Hybrids, caught and released several more and everyone had a great time despite the strong strong west winds!!
