Mixed Bag of Fish Catching on Keystone (3/18/16)

Whew, was it breezy and cool as I met my group at the ramp! Not quite to the point of whitecap’s when we started, but it got there in a hurry! 10492563_1017126878359662_7172830010992029737_n

Our goal was to put a couple youngsters (Eli & CJ) onto some face paced rod bending Striper action, but that didn’t happen no matter how hard I tried. Extreme weather changes overnight played a big role (my only excuse) I’m sure, but undaunted we changed tactics and did the best we could and had a great day of fish catching fun and a very mixed bag of great eating fish.10372062_1017126898359660_2102963715025302106_n

Ended the day with Sandbass, Crappie, Blue Cat, Channel Cat,1933848_1017126948359655_406727663574244672_n Largemouth, and even a Striper! Two gallons of fresh fish and smiling (windburnt) faces made for a pretty good day despite the setbacks!

Thanks Stephen,944975_1017126931692990_9045495615961850122_n Clarence, CJ & Eli! Y’all were a blast to fish with and look forward to another great day on the water and better weather to go with it!

Tight Lines!
Steve
