Whewww, thought it was not gonna end good today cuz the start was NOT good!! 3 1/2 hours into a 6 hour trip we’d yet to boat our first fish (of any kind)! The wheels (the rusty ones) in the back of my head were grinding and “voila”, came up with a game change plan that might work so off we went to give something else a go!!
Changed locations, changed our plan of attack and within only minutes
it was FISH-ON, rod bending, line stretching action and fun for Don and his Grandson Jake!! Didn’t take long for one, then two then two more to meet the net and all the sudden Jake was having a ball!!
All told only 6 Stripers met the net today and we lost a 7th to an underwater UFO that ole wily Mr Striper wrapped the line around and pulled off!!
Quality fish up to 12 lbs, smallest going just shy of 9 lbs. Enjoyed the day with Don & Jake and look forward to another trip in the near future!
