WOWZERS! What a day!! Another great day on the water with Doug, Megan and first timer April. Neither Megan nor April had ever been Striper fishing (or catching) before so we turned what was supposed to be a catfish trip into a combo trip. I’ve been on a pretty decent Striper bite for a couple of weeks so we ventured out to start with looking for a few (hopefully) willing Morones!
HOMERUN!!!
Long story shortened, we got into 3 hours of virtually non stop, rod bending, drag screaming, line stretching action packed 3 ring circus FUN! We kept only ten and released more than twice that many not to mention a dozen or more really good hits. Both Megan & April boated several 10# plus Stripers while Doug and I did our best to net fish and keep rods baited for them! Doug filled in a few times when we’d have 3 or more fish on at the same time.
We finally took a break and finished out the trip catfishin and boated 10 blues with a solid 5 lb average.
A great and blessed day with some great (and worn out) clients! Thank you guys/gals for allowing me the opportunity me to host y’all today, its one I’ll long remember and reflect back on!
Nows a great time to get in on some GREAT fishing, look forward to seeing some of ya on the water, or better yet booking a trip with me and getting in on some of the fun!!
