Keystone Striper Fest Continues (3/14/16)

What can I say, beautiful day on the water with some GREAT new friends and a bonus of some hard hitting, hard fighting, rod bending, line stretching, drag screaming hungry Stripers!156362_1013499862055697_3695727473149595382_n

Met Shelton, young Seth, HL and Herb at the dock at 10:00 AM with a tank full of fresh and lively 6-10 inch shad, and in a short time after loading them in the boat we were baiting up to tempt some hungry Stripers, and they (the Stripers) didn’t disappoint at all!999421_1013500015389015_7728494313628849872_n

Almost immediately, rods started bending, grins were in abundance, and fish after fish were led into the net as my guys1935289_1013499892055694_708620030004235501_n started putting a hurt on a good school of hungry Stripers!!

Long story shortened,1505631_1013499968722353_428405197233604816_n easily filled their legal limit (20) and gave lessons to a whole bunch1919300_1013500038722346_4246442821360026644_n of others who are still swimming how to bend rods again!

After about 4 hours we decided to leave the Stripers alone and maybe get a rod or two bent on some Blue cats! Gotta be honest,1463407_1013500058722344_4589903134827992157_n we didn’t fare as well today on Blues as last Friday, but we did miss a few hard rod bending hits and only boated one.

Regardless, it was a GREAT day, had some GREAT clients aboard, made some new friends, and we caught loads of quality fish. Stripers averaged a solid 5#s with a few bigger but not over 8#s.944864_1013499995389017_102013205731116132_n

Thanks Shelton, Seth, HL and Herb! Having a crew like you aboard makes my job as a guide, not a job, but just plain FUN!!
