Keystone Lake Blues (5/2/15)

Should title this “Singing the Keystone Blues” lol!!

WOW, what a tuff day it was for me! Had a trip booked for Keystone Blue Cats today and with the bite the way it has been for the past several months I really didn’t figure it’d be as tough as it was, but with rising muddy water conditions I was sure in for a surprise!

For whatever reason, finding shad this morning was double tuff for me until I finally thought “outside the box”, and while I didn’t really get started off with the numbers of fresh live Shad I’d like to start a catfish trip with, off we went anyway!

Long story short, fished a number of shallow water spots that have been paying off good for me in recent weeks and total for the cleaning board today was 6! Yeah, only 6!! Caught two more small ones that we released to grow up to sammich size and had a ton of good hits & misses along a number of cleaned off hooks with no signs of a bite. Tuff day, GREAT trio of guys that I appreciate very much!! Thank you Travis, Justin and Dink for sharing the boat with me today and your very appreciated patience!! Next trip out will be different, much much different!!

Nope, no pics today, SORRY!!
Tight Lines!!
Steve
