Keystone Blue Cat Rod Bending Fun (4/1/15)
It’s not often I’ll book two trips in one day but I made an exception today and more than glad I did!
I’d gotten a call earlier from Derek about taking him and a couple of his buddies (Jack & Chris) on a catfish trip so they could learn how to catch catfish on Keystone. Seeing as how I was already going to be there on a 1/2 learning trip for Stripers earlier, I agreed to take them out for a 1/2 day trip!
Before I could even get all the rods baited and set, Derek was already battling the first of many to the boat! I can honestly say it gives a guide a good feeling deep down inside when that happens!!
Everyone in the boat caught their share of Blues and we kept enough for a big mess of fish for a fish fry for them and let a few (the bigguns) go! Cleaned enough to stuff two one gallon zip lock bags and parted company for today with three new and happy friends! !
