Worn Plumb OUT!
WHEW, I just thought the trip on Wednesday with Noah & his buddy Steve was a really good trip, but the trip on the following day (Thursday) was without a doubt the best of the year thus far!!! One and done throw with the bait net and ready to go catch fish!
Met up with Jacob & Ken from Navico/Lowrance Electronics at 10:00 AM for an out of office fishing get-away for them in hopes of somewhat duplicating my trip from the day before! The weather had changed quite a bit overnight with the winds (and I do mean winds) shifting from southerly to howling out of the north and a 30 degree temperature drop! When I picked them up at the dock, it was easy to see that their
expectations for what the day was to bring were nowhere near as high as mine in regards to numbers of fish to be caught, but it didn’t take long to reverse their expectations!
Long story short (cuz I can get long winded) we had fish on before I could even get all the rods baited up, and they were good fish. From the start, the fish catching action was hot & heavy and remained steady from the time we began until we left the fish still biting 4 hours later! We maintained a solid 10 lb average from start to finish with biggest fish weighing 13.8 lbs and smallest at around 6 lbs. Ken & Jacob caught 30 plus nice Blues, and ALL were released to feed & fight another day!
Great day Jacob & Ken! ! Had a ball with the two of you and look forward to hitting the water again with you guys whenever it’ll work for you!!
Blue Cat fishing will continue to be excellent for the next couple of months and Spoonbill/Paddlefish snagging is gonna be really picking up too so plan ahead and get your trip booked for a great day of fish catching fun!!
Tight Lines!!
Steve
