Went on a guided fishing trip with Steve King of Hawker's Guide Service this past weekend and had great success in catching sand bass and spoonbill. Caught eight to ten spoonbill weighing from 35 to 65 pounds each, hooked more but didn't get boated, and a nice mess of sand bass. But the main thing is that it was a great trip for me and my grandkids who had the time of their lives fishing, great trip, lots of fun and lots of laughs.

If you want to take a family fishing trip then you need to book it with Steve. He not only puts you on the fish, he shows you how to use the electronics and how to rig for the different kinds of fish, and gives helpful information about other lakes. He really made it enjoyable for my grandkids whose ages ran from 6 to 18. Will book another trip with Steve.

Fished Kaw Lake 2/19/13 with Hawker: We went out on a Bluecat trip with my dad & brother. We were very happy with the service, he put us on fish and was very professional. I will return!

Fished Birch today (7/16/11) with Hawker on his first "Weekend Frenzy". Had a blast. Was a little slow early but picked up after noon. I had never seen a "quadruple" before today. If you get a chance to go out with him you need to go. Great time today Steve. THANKS!!!

"I have fished with Steve King on many occasions. He has never failed to lead us to fish and his equipment, determination and uncanny ability to find fish has been amazing. He is a determined, professional and very hospitable man."

This weekend was my 2nd trip out with Hawkers Guide Service and most people just don't book a second trip if their first one was unsuccessful. No sir! Both trips were a blast and Hawker worked very hard to keep us on the fish. No fishing guide can guarantee that you catch any fish, much less getting your limit but I gotta say that Hawker pretty much satisfied both of those problems. I have my own boat and was honest with Hawker about my intentions. I told him up front that I wanted to learn about the bait as well as the tricks to catching fish in good areas at different times of year. Both trips were a great learning experience as well as a blast catching fish and even though I think I can do it on my own, I think I'll book a couple trips per year just to keep things fresh in my mind and plus I get to spend some more time with a really cool, down to earth fishing guide. I highly recommend Hawkers guide service, book with him and see what I say to be true. You won't be disappointed.

Steve,
Jon & I had a really great time today. Thanks for all you did to make it a memorable trip. You are great! You took care of everything and we know you did everything possible to get us some fish, and we appreciate it.
I was pleased at how easy it was to do for me. With my bad back and low mobililty I worried about how it would work. Couldn't have been a better set up.
We will have to do it again sometime, and I will definitely recommend you to friends.
Jon caught 2 hybrids (and the biggest) and 2 sand bass; Dan caught 2 hybirds (1 in extra time - thanks for making that possible).

Sooner - 4/7/12

Steve,
Thanks so much for the day at Sooner last Saturday. It was one of the more satisfying fishing days I can remember. You are always gracious, funny and considerate. It seems you are also usually able to keep us on fish. It makes a great experience for anyone I bring along.
I consider myself a fair fisherman, but whenever I am needing to put family or friends on fish, you are the man. It makes me proud to be able to consider you my friend.
Thanks,
Andy Reynolds
