Hey there fishing friends! WOW, it’s been W A Y too long since I’ve put anything one here, it’s time to play catch up!
First, Happy New Year to everyone (yeah, I know, almost a month behind the times LOL)! Hope y’all had and excellent 2015 and are looking forward to an exciting, fish catching, rod bending 2016 season!!
For most of February, I will be sorta tied up working some sport shows, but I will have a few open dates for guide trips. I’ll get my calendar updated on my website so you’ll know my open dates. There is some “buzz” going around about the Spoonbill action starting up and I’m making plans on hitting the water very soon to do some scouting on my own. As soon as “I” actually find some action I’ll be ready to book trips for some BIG rod action. Blue Cat fishing has actually been pretty good of late and will continue to be good through March, so there is another opportunity to get out, bend some rods and load up on some great table fare as well as having a fun day on the water.
As most of you already know, the Tulsa Boat Sport & Travel Show opens up this coming Monday (Feb 1) and runs through the following “Super Bowl Sunday” (Feb 7th). I will be at the show in the Young’s Wilderness Camp booth on the upper level. Location is close to the center of the small booth spaces, close to the railing overlooking the lower level. Look for the high flying Canadian flag. drop by and say Hi, visit a bit and while your there check out one of the best ever Canadian fishing and hunting lodges you’ll ever find. Perry & Carol are the owners and besides being great folks, are a lot of fun to just visit with at the show!!
Get ready,,,,,,,,,,,,,, 2016 is gonna be a great year for fishing at it’s finest, and in case you haven’t heard, Skiatook Lake is finally “FULL” again! I’m pumped because this particular lake fishes differently than it does when it’s extremely low and we’ll be able to utilize some different tactics for even more fish catching opportunities!! Keystone will be turning out some really good Striper catching opportunities as well in the coming months and I’m looking strongly at another body of water or two to fish this year as well! Hang on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it’s going to be great!!
