Hawker’s Guide Service is a FULL TIME (excluding Sunday's), Licensed, year round Fishing Guide service for Stripers, Hybrid Stripers (Wipers), White Bass, Catfish and Spoonbill. I guide on Keystone, Kaw, Skiatook, Birch, Sooner, and Chouteau Bend. In the winter months (Dec – Feb) I guide on Keystone & Kaw for catfish. Starting early March – April, I guide primarily on Chouteau Bend for both Spoonbill & White Bass and begin trips to both Skiatook & Birch in search for Hybrid Stripers about mid April. From the end of April until July we are primarily fishing Keystone, Skiatook & Birch lakes for Hybrid Stripers and Stripers, and once the hot summer is upon us, begin trips to both Sooner & Carl Blackwell.
My boat can comfortably accommodate up to five (5) anglers, and children are ALWAYS welcome, in fact children 12 and under are always free! My goal is to provide young and old, male and female, kids and grandkids a GREAT day of fishing!! All you will need to bring is your lunch, snacks, drinks, camera, sunglasses and sunscreen if necessary, and be sure to bring clothing according to the weather conditions! Don’t forget, you will also need to have a valid Oklahoma Fishing license as well.
We will meet at a selected boat ramp on the lake we will be fishing the day of your trip, and I will be there ready to load you and your group into the boat and go directly fishing. All bait, gear & tackle is provided and at the completion of our trip, I will clean, fillet and bag your catch for you to take home and enjoy with your family and friends!
If I am unable to accommodate your request for a trip because I am already committed, I am networked with several other guides, whom all work together sharing information, fishing conditions and availability. I will work diligently to connect you with one of the guides I am networked with and have complete confidence in to take you out on your requested date if I myself am unable to do so. Effective 8/3/2014, I will be unavailable for guide trips on Sundays and if that is the ONLY day you have off to go, I will do my best to put you in touch with another guide to take you out!!

Yes, I do offer Spoonbill/Paddlefish snagging trips typically from as early as February thru mid/late April while they are making their runs up the Grand River between Ft. Gibson and Lake Hudson.
I provide the boat and all equipment needed for snagging these prehistoric creatures, and I actively promote CPR (Catch Photo Release) of this magnificent creature!! Should you decide to keep a Spoonbill, I will provide tags, knives & bags for YOU to clean your fish and transport it home! I'm sorry, but this is the one species I myself do not clean for you!!
Mondays and Fridays are Catch & Release only statewide, so if your desire is to take one home you will be unable to do so on these 2 days of the week!
My rates are $300 for up to (max) four people for six hours of snagging fun on the river! There are several snagging techniques that we can and will utilize to get you hooked into a Paddlefish/Spoonbill, all of which will require you only to "Hang On Have Fun"!!! Experiencing the hook up of a Spoonbill/Paddlefish is akin to tying onto a freight train going the opposite direction and is sure to get your attention and adrenaline flowing!
A Spoonbill/Paddlefish permit IS REQUIRED on your person while snagging, but it's FREE so be sure to have yours with you when we hit the water for them. Click on the following link which will provide you with all the information, permits etc available for you.
Contact me via my website or feel free to email or call to set up your trip today! You'll have a ball!!
