Oklahoma Fishing Guide –

Whether you are looking for the elusive Striped Bass, Hybrid Stripers (Wipers), or wanting to catch Sand Bass or monster Catfish, Hawker’s Guide Service  is the right Oklahoma Fishing Guide.

WELCOME to Hawker’s Guide Service your premier full-time licensed Oklahoma fishing guide and Keystone Lakes #1 Premier fishing guide!  Although Hawker (Steve King) is a well-known and respected Hybrid Striper (Wiper), Striper, White Bass guide on Skiatook Lake and Sooner Lake in Oklahoma, my years of fishing for and catching Keystone Striper, White Bass and Blue Cats is what sets me apart from other fishing guides.

A WORD FROM HAWKER:

“My goal, as your fishing guide, is to provide you with a rewarding and memorable day, hooked-up on what I feel are Oklahoma’s hardest fighting fish.  Stripers and Hybrid Stripers (Wipers) provide you the most challenging battle unmatched by anything swimming the waters of Oklahoma. These hard-fighting fish are stocked in our lakes by the ODWC on a continuing basis which guarantees an on-going supply of this voracious predatory species.”

REASONS TO BOOK WITH HAWKER’S GUIDE SERVICE?

If you’ve ever looked into hiring someone that helps people have successful fishing trips for a living, you’ve probably weighed whether or not it’s worth the money.  When you consider the amount of money spent on skunk days and developing your skills being self-taught, it’s probably cheaper to just have someone take you to school and put on a clinic. Take notes and ask questions. I, like most guides, expect that you want to learn from them and most guides are more than willing to share their knowledge.  There’s very little that is more rewarding than having a positive experience, especially if you’re sharing it with other people on the boat. Booking a trip with a guide is a lot different than fishing with your buddies. Guides have the patience to deal with the difficulties that annoy even your closest friends.  Take the pressure of catching fish off yourself and put it onto the guide. Kick back and let somebody else take care of the rigging and bait. Take a day off from being in control of your fishing situation and trust a guide to make your trip successful.  Catching is not always a guarantee, but the pros far outweigh the cons when you break it down into terms of what you’re paying for.

I strive to assure you and your party a safe and trouble-free fishing experience, not to mention that locating Hybrid Stripers and catching them on your own, can be a big challenge.  I not only know the lakes I guide on extremely well, I have been fishing most of them longer (since 1980) than any other full time guide in the area!

I provide the most up-to-date and state-of-the art electronics (Lowrance), top of the line fishing gear and a level of knowledge unmatched by many guides on the lakes I fish.  My passion for fishing makes me the ideal guide.  I love sharing my knowledge with adults and children alike. Nothing makes for a better day for me (Hawker) than for you to have the best experience possible.  Most all of my clients have become great friends and return customers. I’ll find the fish, you catch em, I’ll clean em!

Thank you so much for visiting Hawkers Fishing Guide Service.  I can’t wait to build a great fishing relationship with you and if you have any questions, or would like to schedule one of the best fishing trips you’ve ever experienced contact Hawker (Steve) at 918.261.6804 or hawker1950@gmail.com.

I will be happy to assist you in setting up a trip or answer any questions you may have in regards to my guide service!  If I am unable to answer the phone when you call, please leave a short message, a best number to return your call, and a “best time” to call!

Thank You and Tight Lines!

MY BIO:

I have been fishing since I was old enough to hold a fishing pole on my own.  I have fished all over the U.S. and for virtually every species of fish that swim within those waters.  For many years I was a tournament angler fishing for Largemouth Bass and starting in the early 80’s discovered live bait fishing for both Stripers and the hard fighting Hybrid Stripers.

I began part time guiding for these species in 1997, when a group of fishermen from Wisconsin & Minnesota contacted me to guide them and began my part time guide service until the Spring of 2008.  I retired from my full time job as a Lineman for a large electric utility company in April of 2008 giving me more time to concentrate on providing a quality, FULL TIME guide service for  people in need or want of one.  I have been fishing Keystone Lake since 1980 and Skiatook Lake since 1984 when it was first opened to the public and know both of these lakes like the back of my hand.

I make annual trips to Canada fishing on Lake of the Woods and to the Gulf of Mexico fishing the saltwater in my never ending search for big fish.  I am passionate about fishing and I truly love to share that passion with my clients in hopes of instilling in them the excitement of having a hard fighting fish on the end of a line!  I love teaching people, young and old, everything I can about fishing and to be there helping and assisting as a youngster hooks into their first hard fighting Hybrid Striper and lands it, which is one of the most thrilling moments of my day.

It is my goal as a licensed guide, to go the extra mile in providing and assuring you of a pleasant, safe, enjoyable, relaxing, care free day on the water of fish catching fun.  Please take the time to browse my site and if you feel that I can be of assistance to you in providing you with a day on the water catching fish, contact me to begin that adventure and let’s create a lifelong memory together!
