When you consider the amount of money spent on skunk days and developing your skills being self-taught, it’s probably cheaper to just have someone take you to school and put on a clinic. Take notes and ask questions. I, like most guides, expect that you want to learn from them and most guides are more than willing to share their knowledge. There’s very little that is more rewarding than having a positive experience, especially if you’re sharing it with other people on the boat. I not only know the lakes I guide on extremely well, I have been fishing most of them longer (since 1980) than any other full time guide in the area!

MY BIO:
I have been fishing since I was old enough to hold a fishing pole on my own. I have fished all over the U.S. and for virtually every species of fish that swim within those waters. For many years I was a tournament angler fishing for Largemouth Bass and starting in the early 80’s discovered live bait fishing for both Stripers and the hard fighting Hybrid Stripers.
I began part time guiding for these species in 1997, when a group of fishermen from Wisconsin & Minnesota contacted me to guide them and began my part time guide service until the Spring of 2008. I retired from my full time job as a Lineman for a large electric utility company in April of 2008 giving me more time to concentrate on providing a quality, FULL TIME guide service for people in need or want of one. I have been fishing Keystone Lake since 1980 and Skiatook Lake since 1984 when it was first opened to the public and know both of these lakes like the back of my hand.
I make annual trips to Canada fishing on Lake of the Woods and to the Gulf of Mexico fishing the saltwater in my never ending search for big fish. I am passionate about fishing and I truly love to share that passion with my clients in hopes of instilling in them the excitement of having a hard fighting fish on the end of a line! I love teaching people, young and old, everything I can about fishing and to be there helping and assisting as a youngster hooks into their first hard fighting Hybrid Striper and lands it, which is one of the most thrilling moments of my day.
It is my goal as a licensed guide, to go the extra mile in providing and assuring you of a pleasant, safe, enjoyable, relaxing, care free day on the water of fish catching fun.
